The momentum has begun. The Class of 1970 has stepped forward to launch our GiveNOLA Day Class Competition with a powerful goal. Led by alumnus Lansen Barrow, the class has committed to raising $10,000 to fund tuition for a future Prepper.

Dr. Angelique Thomas, ‘08, continues to make an impact through her leadership in early childhood education and advocacy for young learners.

Today, our community joins Catholics around the world in celebrating the Feast of St. Katharine Drexel, whose faith and vision continue to inspire the mission of St. Katharine Drexel Preparatory School.

This past weekend, we gathered to celebrate our incredible Class of 2026 at Senior Brunch, a beautiful time of reflection, laughter, sisterhood, and anticipation for what’s ahead.

Prep Proud to celebrate Zenia “Aten” Smith, retired NOPD officer, and founder of Krewe of Nefertiti. A trailblazing leader and the first African American Queen of the Mystic Krewe of Nyx, Zenia continues to uplift our community through service and cultural preservation.

Our Prep community showed up at the 2026 Allstate HBCU Legacy Bowl this past weekend, and we are so proud of the energy and support in the stands!

Families can now apply for the Louisiana GATOR Scholarship Program, and Drexel Prep proudly accepts these scholarships to help more young ladies access a Prep education.

Carnival season was one to remember! From our Yellowjackets marching with pride to alumni cheering along the route and the Drexel Prep Foundation hosting it’s annual Mardi Gras Masquerade fundraiser, Prep spirit was alive all across New Orleans.

Join us on March 6 for our Drexel Prep Fish Fry, and come hungry! For just $20, each plate includes: Macaroni, green peas, potato salad, dessert, and a drink.

It’s time for a little friendly competition — and a powerful show of Prep pride. On GiveNOLA Day, Tuesday, May 5, 2026, the class with the highest participation and the class with the highest total donation will win.

Congratulations to senior band student Kennedy Gibson, a Zulu Maid, on earning 1st Place at the Zulu Extravaganza for her performance of Louis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World.” We are so proud of her talent, poise, and dedication. Job well done!
